2017 BMW M6 Gran Coupe Competition

Just to look at this car, you can instantly tell it was originally spec’d beautifully and has been looked after with a no expense spared attitude. From the incredible Atlantis Blue 2 paint scheme, incredibly sumptuous spec inside and upgraded leather, you’ll slide into the cabin and pull away in complete luxury.

This amazing GT car will soon lull you into a false sense of security, as you breeze along at normal speeds getting pretty decent MPG, in quiet comfort. Every last possible toy at hand, the car cossets you and makes driving a true pleasure, even at low speeds. Head out onto the open road and the car changes its MO completely…

Press one of the two configurable M sport buttons and the M6 GC becomes a different animal entirely, with stiffer suspension, heavier and more direct steering you get a real sense of what lies ahead. Prod the throttle and with a deep burble you’re swept away with astonishing pace for a vehicle of this size. With 700 NM of torque delivered from as low as 1,500 rpm, you’re pushed to the back of your seat and away you go. Handling is also far superior to anything of this size and luxury, until you’re into Ferrari territory.

All in all, a quite amazing package from BMW here. It is smooth, refined, fast and even fun to drive, which I wouldn’t say often of a car with flappy paddles and 4 seats, but this really is a great all-rounder. Plus, you have the added bonus that somebody else has already done all of the heavy lifting, with its book price at £115k, you’re making quite a saving! It’s hard not to be impressed with that much car for your money, save the rare and desirable colour and spec, is this the best modern GT car bargain out there?

It isn’t often that a car of 6 years old comes complete with a fresh year of warranty from the manufacturer, so that’s a great start. Having had its full history with BMW main dealers, this is about as good as you’re ever likely to find.

If the car has ever needed or wanted for anything it has had it. Including a full ceramic coating to help you look after that dazzling paintwork in the future.

The person who first chose the spec on this car really needs a medal, there are around £27,000.00 of options on this car from the factory. The competition spec is a great start, lifting the factory limiter from 155 miles an hour to a heady 190! Then there’s that epic paintwork. It really pops in the sunlight, without looking garish or shouty. It’s just lovely!

The car has the upgraded Bang and Olufsen stereo system, which is simply incredible, another option that was around £5k alone. The leather was upgraded, the interior has the full carbon pack and the list just goes on from there. You have full functionality from your mobile phone too, being able to lock the car, plan its maintenance, close the windows etc… from anywhere in the world. With rear heated seats, Alcantara headlining, head up display, this car won’t leave you wanting for anything more!

For the best spec and one of the rarest individual colours, you are unlikely to find a car this good anywhere else.
