2005 TVR Tuscan MK2

£59,995.00Price
  • TVR have always made visually arresting cars and the Tuscan may just stand at the top of the tree, especially when paired with this stunning Spectraflair Grey paintwork and deep green interior. But look a little closer and the trained eye will spot that this MK2 will appear ever so slightly different to most. Why you may ask? Well, this car was the first MK2 made, it was also the 2005 Earls Court Motor Show display car, so it has some very cool history. It has been very well looked after too, so not only is it very shiny on the outside, it packs some extra punch too.

Start it up and you can tell it’s feisty! With its rebuilt 4.3 litre engine providing circa 370bhp to the rear wheels, put to the road through a new clutch and refurbished gearbox fitted in 2024 it really is as much of a rocket ship as it sounds, she’s not all bark and no bite! The interior is in great order throughout, being a press car, it has full lamonta leather too, which has been well cared for, so it’s still super supple. What set’s this car aside from other MK2’s then? It was decided to leave the bottom lamps uncovered, whereas all of the production cars that followed had covered lamps all round, this is corroborated in correspondence within the history file from Jason Clegg of Str8Six who was working for TVR at the time!

As far as TVRs go, there’s always a tick list of items you’d like to see taken care of, which in this case you’ll be pleased to know, all of them already have in recent years. Not only is it a beautifully presented car all round, but mechanically it is spot on too, with a huge list of work and upgrades all carried out with no expense spared; hence why it is so fast and handles so well, all of the potential areas have been taken care of with a great eye for detail in order to improve upon the original car wherever possible. You won’t find another one of these, nor another one like it!

  • It’s known that TVR always went above and beyond for their show cars, to attract new buyers and this car is no different; with a cracking spec, including AC, full lamonta leather and Wilton carpets from the factory. This 1/1 and first off the production line MK2 was a special car from the day it left the production line, but it has only been enhanced since. Supplied with its original book pack, both keys, key cards and a huge service history file, they don’t come much better, especially for a car that has historical significance to the brand too, it is the whole package. Below is a list of the major items already taken care of for the new owner:

    • Full 4.3 engine rebuild by Str8Six (2018)
    • Nitron dampers
    • ACT Carbon airbox
    • Ceracote / race style coated headers
    • Lightweight flywheel
    • Upgraded starter motor
    • Gearbox rebuilt
    • Fresh clutch and slave (2024)
    • Carpets refreshed

HPC Classics always endeavour to bring the very best TVRs to the market as is the case for this example, with an agreed list of items that will be carried out prior to handover to ensure the new owner of this stunning car gets to enjoy it for the summer, we will be doing the following items to make sure the car is just so:

    • 4 New Yokohama tyres
    • Track rod ends
    • Steering rack gaiters
    • New drag links and bushes
    • 4 wheel geometry set up

So, you have full peace of mind that your new car is going to be the very best out there. With the American market consuming TVRs like they’re going out of fashion, it’s a very safe investment too. Pick up the phone today - you’ll not regret it!
