2005 TVR Sagaris
Classy and crazy, an oxymoron? Maybe. When used in context with a TVR, it starts to make some sense. A subtle and timeless colour combination, with an interior fit for an E-Type or a DB2, a quintessential British classic, a deep and lustrous paint finish that comes alive and details the Sagaris’ incredibly fresh lines and slashes when put in the sunlight, brings the car to life and creates an appeal that will please all generations. This is by far my favourite colour on any car, the way it dances in the sunlight is sublime, you can’t take your eyes off of it and as much as I hate the saying, the photos just don’t do it justice, you have to see it in the flesh. The holographic effect just gets more vibrant generating more and more intrigue, you’ll never tire of just looking at it that’s for sure, especially when you factor that this is the only one ever made! Yes, it is a factory colour, the documentation backs that up, as does Gerbil, the TVR paint shop manager at the time.
The interior is much the same, a level of calm and sophistication rarely offered in such a crazy machine. Kept in absolutely stunning order and all original. This car is just how it left the factory mechanically and aesthetically, besides the carbon door seal trims, rather smart they are too and the carbon pedal box cover, which just smartens the driver’s footwell up that little bit. Plus, a fresh set of custom valved Nitron shocks and springs to supple up the damping. The head unit has been replaced by a modern system to allow for sat nav & phone connections etc…
The car starts and idles exactly as it would have done from the factory. In fact, this is likely as close as you’ll get to owning a new Sagaris as you’ll get. A lot of that is thanks to how well the car has been looked after and by whom, but it drives better than it would have done from new.
Whoever first decided on this specification from the factory is well overdue a high five! How could you possibly improve on the looks and care the car has had in its life? Oh, that’s right, the first owner specified the car with the short ratio gearbox for an even more rapid ride and the all-important air conditioning too, so it’s even more pleasant than it looks to be part of, because once you’re in the drivers’ seat, the car wraps around you and makes you feel like just another one of its components, you and the car become one unlike so many other performance cars these days, this is special! Factory fitted with roll cages, AP racing brakes, billet pedal boxes and that side exit exhaust, this is a driving purists heaven!
The car has a fabulous service history, with all the love you could imagine and more. Being looked after by Italia Autosport predominantly, it really has had every last little thing looked at. The car has a completely full service booklet, as it has had so many services, we will put the last stamp in the book in our workshop in readiment for the new owner to drive away knowing they’ve got what has to be the most special Sagaris there is. Super low mileage, one off colour, perfect history & all original paint too, it’s never had a drop!
What with the new suspension set-up Nitron themselves, the perfect history and one of one colour combination, low mileage, low owners and the surefire investment status, for two reasons; 1) Only 110 remain on UK Roads, of only 211 ever made and 2) that the cars are only 5 years off the US being able to import them, you’ll be hard pushed to find a safer bet for your cash and driving enjoyment. Supercar killing performance, unrivalled looks, the noise of a TVR, one off colour and a huge investment prospect, what is stopping you?!
