The Tamora has to be the best value sports car you can possibly buy in the world at the present time. 350bhp of Blackpool’s wildest fury, within a proven spaceframe chassis, housing an LSD, AP racing brakes and all controlled by a proper pedal box, you physically can’t buy a better sports car for the money. Add in the rarity, the looks and the part that can’t be quantified: how it makes you feel! (Because let’s face it, you don’t buy a sports car because it is sensible, unless you’re a Porsche fan!) Not only does it present beautifully after £13k’s worth of paint, PPF and ceramic coating, back in its epic factory hue of Nebula Black which comes to life in the sun, but it drives as smooth as butter too. With fresh Bilstein dampers and Eibach springs, a new clutch, lightweight flywheel, new tyres and a perfect geometry set up, it handles the road as though you were in a brand-new McLaren, truly sublime. Wind the motor up and indulge yourself with the trademark TVR bark and howl, but this one is even a little better with the sports exhaust upgrade too. When you approach a corner, you can slow down just as well too, as it has the Sagaris big brake upgrade and new pads too. It is a truly perfect driver’s machine. You’ll never want to put it back in the garage, it is so much fun! The feel, the feedback, unlike anything else. Rev matching with the lightened fly wheel is easy, the T5 ‘box is as smooth as silk, but rifle bolt in its precision. Nobody else has made cars like these before or since.

 

With 20 stamps in the book and the biggest history file, coming from 15-year ownership, it is testament to the care it has received as to how well it drives. The mileage is but a number, as I’d wager this car drives better than not only the majority, but presents it too, a truly cherished example that will shock and impress as much today as the day it left the factory. The car left the factory in the same spec as it is today, it is all as per the spec sheet, but it has been refreshed and upgraded along the way, to present and drive even better than it ever did.
