1971 Bond Bug

We are very lucky with all of the exotic and rare, iconic and special cars we get through the door here at HPC Classics, but sometimes it isn’t all about the speed, the value and the engines displacement that makes a car special. Never before have we had a car that has received so many compliments and admiring looks on our test drive & photo shoot, the Bond Bug really has hit it out of the park!

 

The car all told is in fabulous condition all round, with only minor signs of wear and tear showing, commensurate with the age and very low mileage. We have helped the current custodian look after it in the past few years, with fresh shock absorbers, clutch and brake master cylinders etc… and it does drive spot on, with a smooth and powerful little engine, a lovely 4 speed box and brakes that could stop a car with three times the weight with ease, it is a pleasure to be part of, I use that terminology as opposed to the standard “drive” as you really do become part of it! What an experience it is.

 

If you like British, fibreglass, lightweight machines, then this surely has to be sat in the stable too! For me, A Sagaris, a Cerbera a Jensen 541R and one of these would do just nicely. Every occasion catered for, so why not come and see what you’re missing.
